
For IEG, Good Corporate
Governance (GCG) is significantly
important. To assure proper
GCG principles implementation in every
business activity, IEG forms GCG Committee
to supervise GCG implementation within the
Group.
GCG Committee is responsible for establishing GCG implementation basic guidance and reference for transparent, accountable, responsible, independent, fair and equal standard in company's management and supervision can be performed properly. GCG Committee is also accountable for delivering GCG-related insight and input to shareholders.
There are many aspects of GCG implementation at IEG and practicing proper business by not committing any corruption is one of the aspects. Any company in any business is vulnerable to corruption. Proper prevention and supervision must be performed since corruption is significantly potential to destroy all the values have been built by IEG, not only limited to economic value. Policy that strictly prohibit all IEG's employees and management to commit corruption is published and enforced as corruption prevention action, while supervision is performed by periodic audit as an integral part of risk management audit and conducted by Risk Management Unit. IEG carries out potential corruption risk analysis in all of its business units and departments using quantitative measuring method that enables IEG to see which department or business units are vulnerable to corruption, which results will be considered to determine the prevention and supervision actions to take in the future (SO2).
Our effort in preventing corruption also includes training, counseling and internal socialization activities on Group's corruption related policy. IEG's corruption policy defines all the activies that are considered in compliance to Group's regulation on clean business practice. All the trainings and counseling on Group's code of conduct and anti-corruption policy are expected to gain all employees' full understanding and awareness on corruption where any divergence will result in harsh sanction, that is disrespectfull employment termination (SO3, SO4).
In addition to establishing proper ethic and business integrity, IEG actively participates in forming and recommending useful public policy to develop our operation areas through associations like IMA and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) as well as building good relationship with local prominent government and communities figures that is conducted by sending IEG business units' people development division to attend related regular meeting where we can actively provide input in accordance to local people's needs and condition (SO5).
IEG continuously maintains its neutrality and professionalism as a public company. We sustain our neutrality in politics by providing impartial support to all Government's programs. Such policy is clearly stipulated in IEG's code of conduct on political donation. IEG has never provided any support in any form (ie: funds, goods, services) to certain political groups or parties since we started our operation (SO6).

competition through our support for clean
and competitive business competition
regulations. In 2010 IEG did not receive any
sanction from business competition or
regulation and law violations (SO7, SO8).
